Introducing Sunrise Minds, a Wholistic mental health collective.
A modern mental wellbeing community blending mindfulness, breathwork, nature, and real human connection to help people feel more grounded, calm, and connected - without the clinical bullsh*t!
Our approach
Sunrise Minds takes a modern approach to mental wellbeing.. blending mindfulness, nervous system support, breathwork, nature, movement, and genuine connection. We believe mental health support should feel approachable, grounding, and real, not overly clinical or overwhelming.
Led by Emma Perchard, who holds a Master of Mental Health, breathwork facilitation accreditation, and is a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner - Sunrise Minds combines professional knowledge with lived experience of severe mental health challenges. Through workshops, community experiences, and practical wellbeing tools, we aim to help people feel more calm, connected, and supported in everyday life.

I was born and raised in Tasmania before heading off on a whirlwind chapter of travel, chaos, growth, and figuring life out (sometimes the hard way). Somewhere between backpacking the world, living in my van, surviving COVID, and eventually landing in Newcastle, I found myself deeply drawn to mental health, nervous system regulation, connection, and the healing power of nature.
I’ve lived through severe mental health challenges myself and know what it feels like to lose yourself for years of your life - which is a huge part of why Sunrise Minds now exists.
Professionally, I’ve worked across the Not-for-profit, NDIS and Community Services space - while also completing a Master of Mental Health and becoming an Accredited Breathwork Facilitator.
I’m obsessed with the ocean, travel, sunrise missions, deep conversations, and my two kelpies who are a large part of my personality (not sorry).
Sunrise Minds was created to build the kind of space I wish existed more when I was struggling.. real, grounded, human, and minus the excessive clinical jargon.
& it’s beyond a pleasure to have you here! xx
Reviews
“It feels like my life has taken a deep breath. I’ve been able to take a step back, focus on a few things that are just for me and realise my problems just aren’t that deep and honestly kind of unnecessary to worry about! I’ve been able to maintain a more steady calmness rather than being heightened and reactive which is worth its weight in gold. Having the accountability of the group and being inspired by how everyone else is embodying the challenges has been motivating too.”

“My Sense of connection to the challenge girls has increased, such a beautiful supportive community. Mental health - the tasks are helping with a sense of purpose and direction for the day. Something little and small for me to look forward too.”
